PP 3216 session on Tuesday starts again this week. The tutorial class will also be held as usual. Next week (Week 11) topic will be Group Counselling.
For PS 4218 group B, the first replacement class will be on this Wednesday 2-4pm while the second one is yet to be confirmed. Dr Dhinsa did say he want it on Friday though.

Tomorrow there will be a test (see previous post).
Don't forget to hand in your Practical 2 report if you haven't already. Some people said that the dateline was actually before the mid-semester break.

Anyway there are no changes in the lecture times. Although the initial plan (supposedly the practical session was moved to saturday) is cancelled and we will still make use of our practical time on monday morning. Next monday (28th Jan), there will be a lecture session which will be conducted from 8am - 10.30am (or 10.00am - 12.00pm).
UPDATE : The lectures will be conducted from 10.00am onwards since 2.18 lecture theater is only free by then.
The lecture/practical/tutorial timetable will hopefully be finalized on Thursday.

Anyway, we will continue to have our lectures on Monday (1pm-2pm), Tuesday (4pm-5pm) and Saturday morning (when we don't have lectures) on 16 Feb and 22 March.
The tutorials will be conducted on Tuesdays (8am-9am).
BI 3224 Week I

I heard that there was a class conducted on BI 3224, but I didn't know so obviously I didn't attend it. :S
Anyway, I managed to attend the second class, the lecturer seems okay, but has already given us an assignment. The good thing about this course is that we won't have the practical sessions weekly (which means some Monday mornings we'll be free).
Practical Dates: 26th Jan, 9th Feb, 15th Mar, 29th Mar and 12th April.
BI 3224 Format

Assignment 1:
Question 1 : Problems in Animal Physiology, M.K Sands (2 pages long).
Question 2: Learning outcome for the course outline. Summarize, maximum of 10 points.
The dateline for this assignment is next week, Thursday (22/01/08).
Lecture notes were provided. I'll try to upload it as soon as I get a copy.

The other class for BI 3224 (previously posted as Wednesday 9am) and its tutorial will be confirmed soon.
Confirm with Dr. Akbar Ali regarding your CH 2605 tutorial, whether it is on Saturday 1-2pm or Thursday afternoon.

Inorganic Textbook CH 2605

I have been searching for a suitable textbook on inorganic chemistry for CH2605, that covers all aspects of the subject with reasonable theoretical and descriptive sections.
I belive that such a book is:
Inorganic Chemistry (2nd Edition) (paperback) by Catherine Housecroft, Alan G. Sharpe
The Amazon price is US$137 plus postage. You can look up the publisher's web site

I have been able to negotiate a price from the suppliers for B$75.
The suppliers are able to ship early next week. Before I place an order, I need definite numbers and payment in advance.
